Shannon Sutherland

I was born and raised in Selkirk, MB just north of Winnipeg. I moved to Peace River 3 1/2 years ago to live closer to my daughter and granddaughter.  I have 2 grown children, a daughter and a son and 3 beautiful granddaughters. Prior to my position here at Springfield I was a Team Lead for an organization in the community in group homes supporting staff and individuals with diverse needs. I started at Springfield school as an EA in Sept. 2021 and started in the role of success coach in May 2022. I feel very grateful to be in the position of success coach and I am looking forward to presenting SEL and promoting Mental Health to students in the classrooms this school year. I love providing support to students in the classroom and in small groups to deal with big emotions, problem solving, anxiety and grief and loss. In my role as success coach I am a support for staff and parents as well.
